Little Man Turns 1

I had the pleasure of visiting with this little guy for his first birthday shoot!
It took a little bit of hoopla to get some silly smiles (and boy did he dislike those balloons!)

Sweet one year old with his sweet one day old picture!

Wedding Fun

October and November have been busy months for me!

Back at the end of October I had the fun opportunity to photograph a wedding reception!

The bride and groom tied the knot in Mexico and came back to celebrate with family and friends!!
It was a great evening filled with hundreds of pictures!!

Mom's Dress

One of the first "pins" I ever "pinned" was of a little girl in her mothers wedding dress. I knew that one day I was going to do the shoot with Mckenna!

Mckenna has been increasingly interested in weddings... thank you "and they lived happily ever after". She likes to look at my wedding pictures and so the other day I asked if she wanted to see my wedding dress. Well, since it is still hanging in my closet (8 years later!!) I told her she could try it on the next day!

This little girl loved EVERY MINUTE of these 20 minutes!

I was so thrilled that I was able to capture her true expressions. Some of these faces are so Mckenna!

Including this one!!

A bit of picture overload, but I seriously love them all!
Can't wait to do this again in a few years with Norah!!

SMASH

I was so excited for my sweet little girl to turn 1 so we could have a smash cake shoot!
I had done one when Mckenna had turned 1, so I was excited to see what we could capture with Norah!
The thing about smash cake shoots is that you just have to roll with it! Once they are covered in frosting and the cake is demolished there's no turning back or attempting a shot again!!

Big Sister stepped in to "help" Norah finish the cake.... things got seriously out of hand after this!!
